Media censorship/movie ratings process becoming more lenient

In my opinion, the movie rating system is definitely flawed and should be fixed. I think that it is a good idea to let random groups of people review and rate new movies instead of the MPAA. They could create a different group of people for every movie, making it fair that there are no movie biases among the raters. If one of the long time raters just couldn't handle certain types scenes, such as crime, violence, death etc, and they tended to rate whatever movie had those things more commonly because of their bias, that is unfair to the movie. A good way to prevent a lot of either negative or positive biases would be for the groups of people viewing the movies not being told what movie they would be seeing beforehand. There are probably so many good movies out there that have not been seen because of judgmental opinions. We all know that there are some movies that are obviously way too inappropriate to be aired. These are the kinds that any normal person with morals could view and agree that they should be cut. I am not defending these kinds of movies. I am defending basic appropriate movies that never get the chance to be seen based on only a small group of opinions. If the MPAA wants to use the same group of raters for every movie, then that is fine. They at least could enlarge the group by adding more people, gaining more variety in opinions. Maybe this would help some movies have a chance to get to theaters and give people more peace of mind on the issue, knowing that the movies have a more fair chance.

My name is Mia Iaderosa. I am from Youngstown, Ohio and my primary email is miaderosa18@jcu.edu. I prefer to be called Mia. I do not play any sports, however I have tried mostly all of them at some point in my life. I love to sing. I have taken lessons for six years now and sang for many events. Singing is my talent and the only thing I have stuck with my whole life. My voice is probably my most unique quality about me. In order to take risks during a course, I have to feel caught up on my work and be sure that I understand all my assignments. I believe the most important technological invention in history is the cell phone, because it makes communication very easy and convenient for our world. It also provides safety. People use it to call 911 when they are in danger, a car accident, etc. Without the cell phone, it would be very hard for people to communicate.
